Backcountry Camping in Moab, Utah

What better way to escape COVID-19 than to escape literally everything. We headed up from Texas out to Moab, Utah with the intention of seeing absolutely no one. To accomplish that we setup a home base in the Manti-La Sal National Forest about 30 minutes outside of downtown Moab. This provided us with some separation from both the crowds and the heat that Moab has to offer in the middle of July.

From there we rented a Jeep and headed another 2 hours into the backcountry along the White Rim Road inside the boundaries of Canyonlands National Park. Once off the main road it was about 20-30 miles of 4×4 trails leading down to our campsite for the night.
